All Star Cheerleading Program
Welcome to J-Star Athletics!
We are the All-Star cheerleading program at J Star Gymnastics. It is our 3rd season in the Berkshires. We are the only Competitive All star Gym in the Berkshires. Our season runs from usually June to May. We do travel we try to keep competitions close and affordable for everyone. You do not need to know how to do all-star cheer or any type of cheer to join we teach out athletes.
What is All Star Cheerleading?
All star cheerleading is not like the “typical cheerleading you see at football and basketball games”. All star cheerleading includes tumbling , dancing , stunting and a whole lot of fun! All with in usually a 2 min and 30 sec routine.
How big of a commitment is all star cheerleading?
It is a huge commitment. Cheerleading is a very team based sport. If one team member is not there in cheerleading then most things can not happen.
Can parents have some cheer gear too?
Yes, absolutely! We have our new designs for the upcoming season where you can order offline and it will be sent right to the gym for you to have at one of your child’s practices.
Does cheerleading travel like gymnastics?
Yes we travel we try our best to stay around locally so it’s more affordable . We try to go to at least 5 competitions total for the year! We have at least have one far traveling competition to Providence RI for us finals. This is the big competition of the year! This is for teams that qualify to make it through out the season!

Do the teams fundraiser?
Yes , we try our hardest not to have a lot of money coming out of parents pockets. We do fundraisers through out the year to pay for certain things for the season ! Such as music and licensing fees. Along with helping account stay current.
Do I have to have experience to do cheerleading?
No , Our staff is dedicated to helping you learn the nessasary skills for you to succeed in the all star cheerleading world
When are practices?
Practice days for cheerleading are on Monday and Wednesday’s. During the season there are occasional Saturday practices that we make sure everyone is aware of a head of time. All practices are MANDATORY.
How old can you be to cheer?
Per USASF you have to be three before June 1,2020 and have to 18 after June 1,2020 to be able to qualify for the season. We have to summit birth certificates for each athlete.
How long does cheerleading go for?
All star cheerleading season usually runs from June – May. Yes is all year round!
What are the prices of cheer?
It depends on what team you are on. The break down is as follows for the upcoming season 2020-2021. !
